know about what's happening in Greater Mankato. The following submission guidelines ensure this website
will continue to be a valuable resource for all who visit GreaterMankatoEvents.com.
Deadline: Events should be submitted at least two weeks prior to the start date. If you submit your event info less than two weeks in advance, we cannot guarantee that your event will be posted.
Turnaround: In most cases events will be posted within 48 hours of submission.
Qualifying Events: All events must be open to the general public and be of interest and value to a significant segment of the general public. Member-only events will not be accepted.
Event Price: Please be sure to indicate if there is a cost to attend your event. If the event cost blank is left blank, your event will be listed under free events, as well as your event category(s).
Location: Events must take place within a 30 mile radius of Greater Mankato. Unfortunately, we cannot list events for other locations at this time.
Content: GreaterMankatoEvents.com reserves the right to edit submissions for grammar, style and accuracy.
Images: You may submit up to 3 images to be featured along with your event.
Images must relate to the event they are uploaded with (though they can be from past years).
Images must be in JPG format and no more than a maximum of 250 X 250 pixels width or height (72dpi) and no more than 750k in file size.
Depending on the size of your image and connection speed to the Internet, the upload
process may take up to several minutes - please be patient. Once received, your
image(s) may be evaluated for display. We reserve the right to reject inappropriate images.
Video: If you would like to submit a video to be featured along with your event, you can do so by first posting your video to YouTube.com. After the video has been submitted to YouTube, they will provide you with a URL (a web address). You can paste that URL into the event submission page and your video will appear with your event.
Once you submit your event you will receive an email indicating your submission has been accepted or, in rare cases, rejected.
greatermankatoevents.com reserves the right to refuse any submission.
Guidelines for Pre-Approved Greater Mankato Events Calendar Contributors
If your business or organization frequently hosts events, you may want to apply to be a Pre-Approved Contributor.
Normally, when you enter an event, it goes to our site Webmaster who reviews it and puts it live on the site within 48 hours. However, if you are a Pre-Approved Contributor, your event will be posted exactly as you enter it, the minute you submit it (the Webmaster will not review it). If you need to change an event as a Pre-Approved Contributor, you can also go in and make edits to your event immediately at any time.
While being a pre-approved contributor does give you the opportunity to post your events in real time and make up-to-the-minute changes, it does put the responsibility on you to ensure your information is appropriate, accurate and meets the Submission Policies of greatermankatoevents.com. Please note that your business or organization name will appear after "Submitted by:" on each event you submit.
The Webmaster of greatermankato.com is responsible for approving Pre-Approved Contributor status and may revoke it if the site Submission Policies are not observed.
